The CD, a collection of interviews with Beatles fans, is one of
five nominees in the spoken word category. It is hosted by Louise
Harrison (George Harrison's sister) who has been seen earlier this
week on CBS Early Show and Sirius XM.
The album includes personal Beatles stories by Phil Keaggy,
Wesley Orbison, Ken Mansfield, Melissa Manchester, Billy Swan,
Alan, Menkin, Rod Davis, and Janis Ian.
It is produced by The WannaBeatles whose members include Dennis
Scott, Bryan Cumming, David Toledo, and Nathan Burbank for
WannaBeats Records. This is the third Grammy nomination for
two-time Grammy and Emmy winner Dennis Scott.
The other nominees in the Spoken Word field (Category 51)
include Tina Fey, Betty White, Val Kilmer and the Oregon
Shakespeare Festival.
The 54th Grammy Awards will be televised on CBS TV on
Sunday February 12th and, coincidently, will honor none
other than Paul McCartney as NARAS's Music Person of the Year.
